About Meat Church
Before competitions or seasoning blends entered the picture, Matt Pittman encountered salt-and-pepper brisket on a Central Texas trip. The uncomplicated bite set his Meat Church barbecue path in motion.
Family cooking in Alabama with Grandma June shaped Matt Pittman's preference for straightforward, flavorful food. His backyard sessions grew more serious until he entered competitions, and his barbecue passion reached BBQ Pitmasters. From there, Meat Church Holy Cow emerged as Matt Pittman's first rub.
Meat Church connects people who want more confidence around a pit, pairing educational support with its seasoning work. Start your next practice session in the Learn guidesand test what you learn around the fire. Meat Church supports barbecue improvement through clear education, useful blends and an engaged community.
When the public cook is over, Matt Pittman returns to Texas, his wife Tracie and their four kids, usually still near a working fire.
